Coney Island’s Steeplechase Park outlasted its golden age rivals, Dreamland and Luna Park, hanging on until 1964. The site was taken for the Brooklyn Cyclones baseball stadium that opened in 2001. MCU Park is a happy place, a few blocks west of the new Luna Park that fits in well with the ambience of Coney Island.
