Recently displaced Muslims take up shelter at a destroyed mosque after fleeing a government offensive against the Tamil Tigers in Nanathan, Sri Lanka in September 2007. A number of civilians were killed and wounded; thousands were displaced. The mosque was destroyed in 1990 when the LTTE, a Tamil military group attacked Muslims and ethnically cleansed them from the area.
