Twelve-year-old Arkalak rests his head against his golden eagle while out training in the Altai mountains of western Mongolia. Following in his father’s footsteps and in keeping with Kazakh eagle hunting tradition, Arkalak started training his own eagle at the age of ten. October 2019.
